Most legal advice looks backward — to precedent, to what has been done, to what is safe. Technology does not wait for precedent. Our clients build things that no regulation anticipated, in markets where the rules are still being negotiated.

WHY AFRICA, WHY NOW
Africa is not adopting the digital economy; it is inventing its own version of it. Mobile-first finance, leapfrog infrastructure, a creative economy exporting culture at global scale, and some of the world’s most ambitious Digital Public Infrastructure programmes. The legal frameworks governing this transformation will determine whether its value is captured on the continent or extracted from it.
